Square Enix previously released a remaster of SNES classic Actraiser in the form of Actraiser Renaissance ($13.99) on iOS, Android, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Actraiser Renaissance on modern platforms included quality of life improvements, new music, a visual overhaul, and more. It included new gameplay elements, new magic, a settlement siege mechanic, soundtrack options to play with the original or a new arranged soundtrack, auto save, difficulty settings, and more. Today, Square Enix released a major update 1.1.0 on all platforms bringing in new costumes for the angel, Yuzo Koshiro refining a few of the songs more, Realm Management and Settlement Siege adjustments and improvements, and an option to play Actraiser Renaissance with gameplay from the original with new features like backsteps and combos being disabled. The biggest changes for Realm Management and Settlement Sieges and Raids are to do with how item and SP potion drop rates has been increased with population requirements for specific objectives being reduced. You can also now skip previously completed siege battles once you’ve completed the game. On consoles and PC, Actraiser Renaissance is priced at $29.99 while it is $19.99 on iOS and Android. It is currently 30% off on all platforms for Golden Week.
